Cyclists who visited the Cherry Creek area from April 2 through June 26 were invited to register for the 2007 Commuter Challenge. During this three-month contest, The Cherry Creek Bike Rack tracked the number of times riders cycled in to Cherry Creek.  Throughout the Challenge, cyclists were rewarded with weekly and monthly prizes, including gift cards from Macaroni Grill, Enstrom’s Candies and Chipotle; fresh bread from Great Harvest; and a messenger bag and Camelbak donated by Campus Cycles.  Additionally, each ride in earned cyclists an entry into our Grand Prize drawing--2 roundtrip airline tickets from Frontier Airlines.

The Challenge culminated on June 27—Bike to Work Day, where the Grand Prize Winner was announced at our Bike to Work Day Breakfast Station Block Party. Congratulations, Louis S!  Additional prizes were awarded for the most miles and most trips logged during the Challenge.  Congratulations Damion C and Phil F!

In total, during the three month Challenge, 183 cyclists banded together to pedal for more nearly 1500 trips over almost 15,000 miles.
