Rideshare - Carpool & Vanpool

Sharing the ride to work with a friend or colleague is a great way to make your daily commute more enjoyable and less expensive. Ridesharing can be as simple as carpooling with your spouse, roommate or neighbor or more involved like vanpooling with four to ten other individuals who share a similar commute.

Ridesharing is also an option for families who drive their children to school. More than 40 schools (PDF) and 7,000 families in the Denver/Boulder metro area participate in DRCOG Commuter Services' SchoolPool program, a free carpool matching service for parents who drive their children to and from school.

How to Find a Partner

If you don't know anyone to share a ride with, there are many resources for people interested in finding fellow car and vanpoolers. Transportation Solutions staff will gladly help you start the process of joining a vanpool, starting a vanpool, or finding a carpooling partner.

Costs

For vanpools, the cost of reserving a seat is based on mileage, with monthly fares ranging between $55 and $140. Fares cover the van, fuel, maintenance, insurance, and automatic enrollment in the Guaranteed Ride Home program.

Besides sharing the cost of gas and parking, carpooling is free!
