Colorado Bike to Work Day is an annual event on the fourth Wednesday in June across Colorado. In Denver, Bike to Work Day is sponsored by the Denver Regional Council of Governments and draws tens of thousands of participants to bike to work. You’ll find Transportation Solutions staff, fellows and volunteers distributing bike safety information and bike-related swag at stations across southeast metro Denver.
Bike to Work Day 2014 wrap up
A big thanks to all the commuters who got out their bikes and rode to work on June 25th! We enjoyed meeting many first timers and seeing some familiar faces from previous Bike to Work Day events. Registered participants for Bike to Work Day topped 20,000, and the number of actual riders was likely much higher than that!
Transportation Solutions participated in stations at the University of Denver, the Cherry Creek Trail at Primal/Alchemy/Pro’s Closet, Creekside Park, South High School, Whole Foods Cherry Creek, and Whole Foods Wash Park. We also worked with the Colorado Health Foundation to put together a new type of station — a water aid station — at Creekside Park in the afternoon.
