Erika Kampe, Transportation SolutionsErika Kampe – Program Manager

Erika returned to her home state of Colorado to join the Transporation Solutions staff in February of 2012. She brings experience from her work as Program Manager with Westside Transportation Alliance, a Transportation Management Association in the Portland, Oregon metro area. With a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in Natural Resource Management, Erika is interested in the relationship between transportation and environmental sustainability. Erika will be working to build relationships with businesses and other stakeholders in Transportation Solution’s expanded service area, promoting and increasing transportation options along the Parker/Leetsdale Corridor, and will work closely with similar organizations in the region as part of DRCOG’s Regional TDM Partnership. Alex MehnAlex Mehn – Communications and Events Manager

Alex came on board in Spring, 2011. His interest in transportation issues began while serving in the Peace Corps, where a focus on environmentalism and public awareness was key as a civic development specialist. Afterwards he worked to build community outreach programs for a local Denver nonprofit, and after a brief layover teaching English in Thailand (where he witnessed the horror of a Bangkok-style transportation system), decided to focus on a career in transportation issues. Alex graduated magna cum laude from Western Michigan University and plans to use his very diverse skill set to spread the word on Transportation Solutions’ mission throughout the Denver area and abroad. Katie BonomoKatie Bonomo – Program Administrator

Katie joined Transportation Solutions in June of 2012. Her interest in nonprofit work began three years before when she quit a job at a financial management company to do AmeriCorps with Habitat for Humanity in Baltimore. A year turned into three years with Habitat, and she realized that she really liked nonprofit work. During that first year of AmeriCorps, she started commuting to work by bike and found that she loved it, potholes and all. At Transportation Solutions, Katie will be assisting with community outreach, managing the Transportation Center at DU, working on communication pieces and the web (finally using her graphic design degree again!), and managing the office and day to day finances of Transportation Solutions. Contact Katie at kbonomo@transolutions.org
